Inder Bir Kalra joined Allied in 2017 and brings 18 years of international experience in financial planning and accounting with emphasis on Financial Accounting & Reporting, GAAP, budgeting, audit, taxation, capital investment feasibility, banking, inventory control, retail, business process outsourcing and funds management. Inder leads the companies continual improvement process for all administration and finance functions.

JAMEY CRAIG

Chief Operations Officer - Track

Jamey Craig has served on the board of Allied Track Services since it’s formation in 2014. From 2014 to 2019, Jamey provided valuable board oversight while also consulting to the company on numerous construction projects. In 2020, Jamey took over the role of Chief Operating Officer – Track, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of the Canadian track operation. Jamey brings over 40 years of Railway & Transit construction and executive management experience including having previously served as President of PNR RailWorks. Jamey is a Professional Engineer and a BS graduate of Lakehead University.

TOM MCINTOSH

General Manager, Track West/Signals & Communications

Tom McIntosh joined Allied Track in 2016 and leads Allied’s signals & communications group and western Canada track group. Tom brings over 37 years of class one railroad signaling & communications technical and managerial experience to the Allied Track Services team and is responsible for leading the growth of both groups through delivery of safe, dependable and superior services to our customers. Prior to joining Allied Track Services Tom held various positions of increasing responsibility at Canadian National, most recently Tom held the position of Manager, Signals and Communications, Western Canada.

EUGENE CANARIS

Track Operations Manager East

Eugene Canaris joined Allied Track in 2019, responsible for overseeing Allied Track Services track construction and maintenance operations in Eastern Canada.  Eugene brings over 27 yeas of railway experience involved in all railway construction facets.  His track construction experience has encompassed heavy freight, high speed LRT, and commuter rail and has included as clients both Canadian Class 1 Railways as well as major transit properties.  Eugene has looked after managing flagging contracts with Metrolinx, The Waterloo and Ottawa LRT track construction programs, as well as numerous other projects.  Eugene holds his Ministry of Labour recognized JHSC membership. His experience has been dedicated to achieving production requirements while maintaining a high level of safety.

RICK MIDDAUGH

Commercial Manager, Operations

Rick Middaugh oversees Allied’s commercial management functions across the country. Rick joined Allied’s predecessor company in 2009 and brings over 20 years of business development, customer relationship management, and contract manufacturing experience spanning the rail and tech industries for corporations including Nortel Networks and Celestica.  Rick holds an MBA from University of Windsor. Rick is responsible for the management and continual improvement of Allied’s commercial functions, including bidding and estimating and project contract and commercial management.

MIKE FIRMIN

General Manager Human Resources

Mike has been with the company for more than a decade and brings more than 40 years of managerial experience to the team.  In both the industrial and construction sectors, notably in Hamilton’s Steel industry, Mike is a renowned Health and Safety professional.  At Allied Track Services, Mike has spearheaded our staff development initiatives, created and maintained our policies and procedures, and ensured our ongoing legislative compliance throughout all the jurisdictions we operate in.  Mike is a huge contributor to both our success and our morale.

JEREMEY BEAL

Health and Safety Manager

Jeremy is a third-generation railroader and brings over a decade of rail safety experience, having worked as a locomotive conductor for Canadian Pacific with extensive experience in both the freight and public transit sectors, prior moving to Allied Track Services in 2014. He carries a Humanities degree from Queen’s University, is a Certified Health and Safety Officer, and recently obtained his CRSP certification. At Allied Track Services, Jeremy oversees and implements all health and safety training, workplace audits, coordination with various oversight bodies and oversees staffing in the field.  Reference his leading the COR certification process also.

DARREN HOWES

General Manager, Equipment

Darren joined Allied Track Service in 2018 and is responsible for all equipment in Allied and Bottom Line Companies fleets. Darren oversees Allied’s North Bay, Grimsby, Calgary and Kamloops maintenance facilities as well as the Pittsburg, TX facility.  Darren brings to Allied over 25 years experience and is a Licensed Automotive and Truck and Coach technician.  Prior to joining Allied, Darren had 15 years with Stockfish Ford as a Master Ford Technician, 5 years at Ontario Northland Railway in the diesel shop and as a Maintenance Supervisor and 3 years at the Detour Gold Mine as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Darren’s experience both in and outside the Railway environment allows him to bring many beneficial practices to the Allied fleet allowing it to be maintained efficiently and safely

 

ANDY JONES

Chief Executive Officer

Andy leads Allied Track Services in Canada and Bottom Line Company in the United States as Chief Executive Officer and brings over 20 years of construction expertise in North America and Europe, Andy joined Allied in 2015 as Chief Operating Officer.  Andy is responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction of both companies and leads a continual process of improvement across all facets of the businesses. Prior to joining Allied Andy held senior management positions with the RailWorks group of companies in North America and with Taylor Woodrow Construction in the UK. Andy is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) and a graduate of the University of Wales, Cardiff School of Engineering.

GRANT VALE

Chief Commercial Officer

Grant Vale joined Allied in 2018 as Chief Commercial Officer responsible for the marketing strategy and sales of Allied Track Services and Bottom Line Company.  Grant has been in the Railway Industry for more than 40 years, with a broad base of experience in signals, contracting, maintenance of way, major projects, and as a company owner operator. Grant also served with Canadian Pacific Railway and has sat on numerous industry associations.  Prior to joining Allied, Grant was a Regional Director for sales with Harsco Rail. Grant holds a BS in Computer Science.
